That vanity was the driving force behind this renovation. Most of all, my daughter wanted more storage and more counter space. When I saw this vanity at Costco, it was an aha moment. I knew it would be perfect. The sink was off-center, giving her much more usable counter space. Plus, it has so many amazing outlets. I also knew I couldn’t beat that $650 price tag. My dream was to knock out that wall and allow more vanity. To begin with, we removed the first aid kit and looked inside the wall. Once we knew it was possible, we hit the road and started working on the design.

I called several local glass and window companies to give us a quote on the door and they were both so busy they couldn’t even come out. This then made me look at other options. The lack of a door was wonderful. It opens up the space and looks great. You can even decorate these panels with black, silver or brass, but my daughter loved the idea of keeping it clean and simple.
To test the water spray problem, I hung the shower curtain facing the panel. We all took turns testing the shower and each time only a few drops of water ended up on the bathroom floor. Of course, it’s the same tile, so it doesn’t matter, and he can move his little bathroom mat into place if he wants to.
