Organization is key, and Morris has discovered his little hacks over the years. For example, on a built-in shelf in his bedroom, he flipped through all the dust jackets of the books, handwriting each title on a blank white section. It’s a seemingly small thing, but for her, having a streamlined, unified cohort of white — instead of a cacophony of colors — eases the mind and makes the space feel less cluttered.

For me, decisions like that, while not for everyone, and I respect that, helped us feel like things weren’t falling apart.”
