We all love home improvement before and after photos, right? I don’t know why, maybe it’s the magical realization that something can be completely renewed, or it gives us a hopeful feeling that something in our lives can get even better. These types of images instantly lift your mood, and I think they can do the same for you.
Before And After Home Improvement Photos
Either way, we’ve collected some pretty cool before-and-after projects over the years, and here are some of the most interesting (or ones that left me speechless!)
Home Improvement Contractor In Gilbert, Arizona
Anyone can feel lost when they first look at a cage like this. The limited space and lack of features can be frustrating, but only if you’re not creative:
Damn right?! It’s amazing what a good project can do for a place. It just proves that no matter how small or limited the space, there is always room for improvement.
A small concrete patio with plastic chairs does not do this patio justice. The space is full of potential and it’s interesting to see what the homeowners decide to go with.
I have to say, this is probably my dream yard. All those lines that define the different spaces give the look the visual spark it needs. Other elements are also very interesting:
Before & After White Kitchen Remodel In Randolph
This house really needed a makeover, or it could very well have been used as a scene in a horror movie. The old painting along with the poorly maintained landscape gave this otherwise attractive cape a really dreary look.
What a transformation, don’t you think? Now it looks very cozy and inviting, with only a few important home improvements:
The before picture would never attract too much attention with such a bland look, but the after is sure to earn a “wow” from any passerby.
Adding windows to an existing structure creates the illusion of a second story, enhances curb appeal and increases the value of this home. The renovations were completed with additional landscaping and an updated door and walkway that made this home more inviting and welcoming.
My Kitchen Renovation: From Cold To Cosy
If you want to see a simpler but equally memorable makeup look, then you should check out this amazing kitchen look from Manhattan Nest. While the ceiling and floor have received a much-needed update, the focus here is on the painted cabinets that have given the room a beautiful transformation.

Creativity is the key to spending less. In this wonderful transformation, the kitchen layout and cabinets have remained the same, but they have been improved with just a few (very smart) solutions.
I couldn’t do a home improvement list without adding before and after photos of cleaning. Isn’t it amazing? The stairs look brand new and that’s just the power of the pressure washing service.

You’ll get instant curb appeal (and get your home ready for next season!) after power washing your porch, driveway, and walkways.
If you want a kitchen that can last for centuries and that you won’t get bored of, then go for timeless choices instead of following trends. Here are some ideas:
Organization is so important to living a simple and stress-free life, which is why it’s so important to have a practical home that just works. For this family, hangers weren’t cutting it: they had to install shelves to keep everything organized and easy to find. Homeowners Sarah and Richard tour their home and are overcome with nostalgia. It was the home where they raised their children, entertained friends for years, and…

With the state stuck in the middle of a housing crisis, a group of Cranston residents asked how a few more homes would solve the problem. Residents have signed up for a long fight… Hello DIY friends! Let’s talk about a bathroom makeover! Do you have an awkward bathroom? is it outdated are you browsing boring? creepy? You know this feeling. Read it, my friend. You may find yourself in a position to give your bathroom a serious makeover thanks to Virtu USA!
There are two bathrooms in our house. The master bathroom is the smaller of the two (remember, old farmhouse = bathrooms were not part of the original house plan) and the bathroom I’m about to show you. One for my husband (Master) and one for me (Am). I know you’ll be jealous that I’ve had this gem for several years. Entitled “Girls’ Bathroom”, welcome to my little private oasis…gag! Since no one can see the upstairs master bath except those who live here, it wasn’t on the 7th’s list of DIY priorities. after years. We moved in. It was functional and clean, even if it was super ugly and outdated. Hurry up, shower, brush your teeth, put on your makeup and get out of this room! But the less desirable (to put it nicely) “before” creates the magical “after”. This girl definitely has a happy ending! When the opportunity to work with Virtu USA came up, it was just the motivation I needed to finally get rid of my old cheap colorless vanity (I’ll have new life in my closet). An old medicine cabinet with Hollywood wardrobe lights (that’s what those round lamps make me think of) became a roadside treasure for someone who absolutely needed it.
