Escalante is a small mountain town along the Animas River in Durango, Colorado. Each lot is 20′ wide by 40′ deep, large enough to accommodate a small house, patio and standard two-car lot. Home includes sewer, water, electrical hookups, internet connection, trash and recycling service, and self storage. Features a community garden, snow removal and landscaping.
Tiny House Block in Laguna Mountain, California offers apartments for rent so you can set up your own tiny house for $875-$975 per month with water, sewer and garbage included. They also offer pre-fab tiny house rentals for those who have never bought or built their own tiny house package. The house is on 3.5 acres and is close to the trail. The community also has a local restaurant that serves food and drinks.

Located in Cedar Springs, Ohio, The Modern Tiny Village is a beach community close to several major cities. Modern Tiny Living started out as a traditional tiny house building business but then branched out to offer more for the home. Each apartment has a monthly rent of $441, which includes water, sewer and garbage. They also provide community gardens, walking trails, recycling programs and private parking.
Orlando Lakefront is an RV park that welcomes small homes on wheels, providing full connectivity. Their lakefront property includes dock access, a fishing pond, a community garden, laundry facilities, and a green petting zoo. Rents vary and monthly rates range from $565 to $765. Orlando Lakefront is seven minutes from downtown and only 20 minutes from major parks.
Enjoy nature on 80 acres of forest at The Sanctuary in Ogilvie, Minnesota. They offer six-month rentals for $350-$450 per month. However, the Sanctuary is an adults-only community and does not allow children to visit without prior approval. In addition to enjoying the beautiful home, residents can participate in organized activities such as cottage workshops, yoga, exercise and personal development classes.
Tiny Estates has a Central Pennsylvania community of tiny homes for rent, condos and short-term rentals. They also have future communities in Hartsville, South Carolina and Tennessee. You can bring and set up your tiny house on one of their plots or have them build it for you.

Tiny Tranquility offers a lot for tiny houses and vintage RVs. They offer a 12 month lease for $650-$750 plus electricity. They have an outdoor activity area, a dog park, and an open house for rent. Other amenities include a hotel room, fitness facilities, free Wi-Fi and parking. Located in Waldport, Oregon, the community is close to Yachats State Park and River, making it a great location for outdoor enthusiasts.
Bluegrass Tiny Ridge is a small, adults-only community in central Kentucky. Rent is $450 per month and includes water, sewer, trash, mailbox, lockable storage space, lawn and fire pit. Attractions include hiking trails, water sports, distilleries and local restaurants. Bluegrass is just two miles from downtown Lancaster, KY, and close to the local university.
LuxTiny is a community of 45 in Lakeside, Arizona. Rent is $329-$379 per month, including water, sewer and garbage. Located in the White Mountains, this community offers beautiful views with plans for community parks and trails. They include chicken coops, solar panels, greenhouses and other “green” components. LuxTiny is also a tiny home builder and can help you build and finance your home. Tiny Tranquility Park is a coastal Tiny House community in Oregon with 35 permanent Tiny House parking spaces and half a dozen cottage rentals. I had the opportunity to visit the park, stay at one of the nightly rentals, and interview the park owner (and some others). Read on to find out what makes this Tiny House community so amazing.
The property that is now Tiny Tranquility is a dilapidated daycare in truly terrible conditions. Josh, the owner, bought the derelict land and renovated it. During the renovation, he converted some of the original buildings into common spaces for the residents of the future Tiny House community. For example, the park has a beautiful indoor garden for growing flowers, fruits and vegetables. Other community spaces include: exercise room, mail room, yoga area, TV room, laundry room, private storage, game room, library, outdoor grill, large shared kitchen with ocean views, and space available for rent for small businesses.
Small Home Village Aimed At Helping Indy’s ‘most Marginalized’
The park is located on the central Oregon coast, near the small town of Waldport. Residents can access the beach by walking for 5 minutes, as well as nice restaurants and local shops just a few kilometers away. The charming little town of Yachats is only 10 minutes away and offers hiking trails and other tourist activities.
Tiny Tranquility wants to be a community. To do this, they need permanent residents who will develop relationships over time. They do not allow overnight parking in their premises; Instead, you must rent a place for at least one month. This causes a slight decrease in the park.
There are a few tiny houses and vintage trailers available for nightly rent in this coastal Tiny House community. This allows residents to invite their friends and family and not have to force them into their homes. Josh doesn’t want to add any more nightly rentals, so they’re booking up fast!
The park provides decent space between Tiny Homes; Josh could have packed them more $$$, but he chose not to. All have a small yard and a balcony or patio area. Of course, this also means that the parking spaces were filled quickly. There is a waiting list for future tenants.

When I spoke with Josh in June 2020, the park was fully booked and he had a list of people interested in setting up their Tiny House at Tiny Tranquility. He is obviously doing something right! Josh said he feels there is a real need for more parks like the one he has created. He’s thinking of opening another, but hasn’t found the right location yet.
