When we entered, there wasn’t much to offer in this space. It was a small square box with no markings. Plus points were the large windows that let in a lot of light and the hardwood floors.

There are old baseboard heaters and a chandelier that we entered every time we walked through the room.

This 10×10 room is right next to our small entrance at the front of the house. We are pretty sure we are the first and only owners to use this dining area. No need for another dining room, as it now serves the sitting/living area.

The first project I investigated in this room was to remove the chandelier and the two base heaters. We don’t need the heaters and they are plain ugly, so I removed them and restored all the holes and deformed walls.

I also filled and filled the old thermostat and all the other holes and pin holes.

Then all the sides and windows were sealed (old house problems) and then it was time for the first favor.

At this point I was ready to paint something on the walls. First, however, I applied a few coats of white to the ceiling paint. What is the difference?

I also used three few coats of the same paint on the rest of the house, Behr Polar Bear, mixed with BM Promote.

Finally, it was time to paint the walls. I have used various shades of gloss to test this house, namely soft white colors with gloss paint. The walls in this house have a lot of imperfections, so I was hoping it would be a big part.

The color I chose for this room was BM White Dove in Matte. I have used the white dove for qr before and always really liked it, so I decided to use it again.

I couldn’t believe how bright this soft white color was. It was painted a medium gray color, which was… ok. But in reality the soft white is a big difference.

I tried to add character to each room I renovated in this small 1965 villa on a budget. The entrance area has a new door and stage curtain. The breakfast nook features beadboard.

This space must be outlined, the pictures included are accurate. This was my first project, but it was really simple. It turns out that figuring out the mathematical distances between the pockets was the hardest part of the whole project.

Modern Small Living Room Ideas To Make The Tiniest Spaces Trendy

First I wanted to do the whole room, then the two walls were finished. In the end I decided on just one wall, the sofa wall. I think he made the right decision because it’s the first thing you see when you enter the room. I love what has been done to this space.

In my original living room design, I wanted a metal door for the large transition between the kitchen and living room. After some research and price comparisons, I decided to find a cheaper option. I chose sliding steel and glass doors.

I wanted something more modern than the typical barn door. When I saw the glass and steel doors, I knew it would fit well with the air in this room.

I love that they add some character to the room while still allowing tons of light into our kitchen.

Small Living Room Ideas For More Seating And Style

As I said, the bedroom is a room with only one long wall, so this is the only place to put a sofa. Since it’s the only wall I can hang any type of art on, I chose vintage wall art.

Remember, I try to be as budget friendly as possible and this is the perfect spot. I have acquired art from flea markets and sales over the years, so I have a few favorites. I also found some public domain printables online that I printed and bound on vintage boards.

I love shopping around my house and decorating my room with things I already have. Besides being budget-friendly, it’s also a great way to use things you otherwise love.

The section has moved with us from Florida to Illinois and now to two homes in North Carolina. It’s a little big for this room, but we love the piece and I couldn’t justify buying it new if we don’t use this room every day.

The chair is in one corner of the room and the arm in another, both long-standing pieces that are used in most of our homes.

Since I decorated the living room mostly with furniture and decorations I already had, I was able to purchase iron and glass doors and a few decorative pieces.

The older I get, the more I look for second-hand jewelry and estate finds. Not only can it be a budget-friendly decorating option, I also love that I can find unique, well-made pieces that fit my design style.

I already mentioned the wall art gallery, but I also found a beautiful vintage wooden coffee table that fits perfectly in this small space. And only $30.

If you’ve been around Chatfield Hall for a while, you know I’m not a backstage kind of girl. I’m more of a minimalist window dresser and if I’m honest, I don’t want to clean the curtains.

The design of this room was to break up the blind texts we set up.

But after I took them back and decorated my room, I felt something strange. As if something was missing.

I waited a few weeks to see if the camera was just changing, but the window wall still looked unfinished. I knew in my stomach that the skins were hanging. The curtains I chose were from two pages of Liz Pleated linen curtains.

I think my gut is right. Although simple, add the softness of the curtains and complete the room.

I’m shocked at how this place turned out. It’s really my style and I walk in to get away from the madness of Reno and sit on the couch to enjoy the peaceful feeling I get here.

But I can’t sit for too long. A small area next to the kitchen, the hall and the new living room open their doors. Until the pain in the nibh!
