While designing this space, I surprised the homeowners with the ceiling details, mimicking a diamond grid pattern from the windows to the ceiling.
This living room features a blend of traditional and contemporary interior design. A neutral color palette creates a clean and bright design, while creating a warm and comfortable space. Custom details include custom built-ins, a turfcloth ceiling design and a porcelain fireplace surround.
Designed as an airy, open floor plan, the living room has many different spaces to gather and relax while taking in the stunning ocean views. Key focal points include a detailed cathedral ceiling and a two-story fireplace with a linear surround, made from a full slab of porcelain that resembles concrete for a modern look.
A calm, neutral palette reminiscent of refreshing salt air mixes with a variety of textures, wood tones and raw stone. The living room is designed so that magnificent views of the bay greet you as you walk up the stairs. Exposed white beams, a classic stone fireplace, and solid white oak flooring lend a sense of casual beach elegance.

To create a feeling of peace and tranquility I designed the main color palette to be white in different shades as well as textures to add dimension. I designed a custom bar in the great room because it was a natural way to keep everyone away from the kitchen island to free up the flow of entertaining.
