Small Coastal Living Room Ideas – Great ideas for a relaxing and beautiful coastal gray living room that will suit any home style!
A question I am often asked is that there is no report on what color gray is in my living room.

It’s a great neutral paint color that can fade into the background to let your decor play front and center.
Coastal Living Room Ideas To Inspire You
However, I wanted to show another photo of the same room to show what a change in lighting can do.
That’s why it’s always important to test colors in your space before jumping into them based on what you see online.
Like everyone else, I wanted to share some great gray coastal living room ideas with the backdrop of our home!
I love the color in my house, but like I said, when you’re trying to live with gray on your walls, you have to decide if you want it to feel warm or cool.

You can work and look good, but the coastal vibe is all about bringing out the inside, so do a lot of heavy lifting there with your natural lighting.
If you’re working with a gray coastal living room, you’ll want to introduce some color.
Sure, you can go for a monochromatic look if that’s your vibe, but things like rugs, pillows, and even books on bookshelves can add harmonious touches that enliven your living room space.

Coastal Casual Living Room Design Tips
However, this living room is a great example of letting your gray walls fade into the background and let your decor speak for itself.
Even though it’s not my design style, I like to show you options that have a wide range of design styles so you can find everything and share your coastal home decor!
Think books on bookshelves, a bowl of shells or bleached wood on a coffee table, or even a vase of gorgeous seasonal flowers.
It may be an unpopular opinion, but I don’t think your home should have just one design style.
Dreamy Beach House Inspiration
In the same photo, I see traditional elements (fireplace), boho (chairs and rattan plants) and modern elements with sofa and seat shapes.
However, this space is totally cohesive and I don’t know about you, but I want to curl up on that couch.
If the chairs look familiar, it’s the white one in our living room with different cushions, but we love them!
The space looks traditional with a sleek black fireplace, armchairs and curtains, but the fireplace and shiplap on the ceiling give it a coastal farmhouse feel.
Best Coastal Decor Ideas
This is an example of a monochromatic look because you have gray living room walls, gray fabric chairs, and a gray coffee table, but by adding blue colors, it doesn’t look boring or too “gloomy” and gray.
Since your gray walls will contrast with the rest of the decor in the space, and these walls in our house look a cool gray here and warmer in other photos, try some blinds and turn off the curtains.
This allows you to reach the maximum level of natural light during the lightest hours of the day.
Even if it’s just a small photo in a frame, make sure your space reflects you, your loved ones, and the things you love most.
